JPB BELIEVES IN...

​This is the first program in our four-part leadership summer program, guiding participants from 9th through 12th grade as they grow into thoughtful, connected, and values-driven leaders.
 

Discovery focuses on building a leadership ethos rooted in acceptance, empathy, and community. Participants form a diverse, supportive community where differences are explored, respected, and celebrated, and where real friendships are built through trust and vulnerability.
 

Through interfaith and cross-cultural learning, teens explore their identities, cultures, and beliefs, recognize potential biases, and discover shared values. They also develop essential communication and dialogue skills, learning how to listen deeply, express themselves respectfully, and engage with differing perspectives.
 

The program combines interactive workshops, group dialogue, service projects, and outdoor activities, including rope courses, swimming, and horseback riding, to create an experience that is both challenging and transformative. By the end of Discovery, participants gain greater self-awareness, foundational leadership and peacebuilding skills, and become part of a community that can continue together through the next stages of the program.
