HOUSTON PROGRAMS SEE STRONG LAUNCH: In-school and after-school programs being offered

Building upon last year's success, JPB's Jack Karn continues to develop our youth programs across the City of Houston. Currently, we are offering in-school programming at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, ILM Academy, and the Helfman Religious School of Congregation Emanu El. A growing network of faith communities and schools are engaging with JPB's Interfaith Youth Houston (IYH) program, which has organized events around the city focused on interfaith understanding, service, and leadership development. IYH events include: a cemetery clean-up, the Houston Food Bank, and Mitzvah Day at the Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism. In the spring, IYH will meet several more times with Interfaith Ministries in honor of MLK Jr. Day, around the Passover and Easter holidays, and during Ramdan. These local programs increase JPB's reputation and profile in the city as a trusted provider of peace education and interfaith encounter.
