Calling For Volunteers

Dear Faithful JPB Volunteers,

It’s time to start preparing for the JPB Summer Youth Institute at Camp Allen/Houston. This year is a transition year for JPB. We will only have one (1) group at Camp Allen/Houston, giving us time to prepare for new and exciting Summer Institute sessions in 2024.

The Global Voices group (10th graders) will be traveling to Camp Allen/Houston and will be led by our friend Zak Adileh, Director of JPB in Jerusalem. Many of you will remember Zak from last year. There will be approximately 22 participants and about 5 staff (including Zak), so this is a very manageable group this year. We have worked through many issues that arose last year when we kicked off our programs again in the post pandemic era, so we have a transformational summer planned for everyone.

Our Deacon Jack Karn is very involved as the JPB Summer Institute Coordinator and is currently making all the plans for our two camps (Camp Allen/Houston and New Haven). Jack will be leading the Leadership program in New Haven as Fr. Nicholas will be in Cambridge, UK finishing up the adult EXCEL program.
