Fr. Nicholas spent ten days in Houston meeting with JPB partners and experiencing a Texas-sized welcome. The goal of the trip was to advance JPB’s in-school programming, summer youth institutes, and financial support in Houston. With six appointments per day, the visit was successful by all accounts thanks to the kindness of friends old and new.

The highlights included meeting with the leadership staff at Camp Allen, an audience with Bishop Andy Doyle, preaching and teaching at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, attending two pilgrims’ reunions, and cosponsoring the Polyphony chamber music concert at the Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism. 150 people from across Houston attended the Polyphony Concert featuring Israeli Jewish and Palestinian Arab musicians. JPB is hoping to work together with Polyphony to advance peace and interfaith understanding in Jerusalem.
