INDUSTRY RECOGNITION AWARDS FOR JPB: Guidestar and GreatNonprofits Awards

JPB has once again achieved top industry recognition awards. For a 5th consecutive year JPB has earned the prestigious Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. Similarly, JPB has earned its 3rd consecutive top award from GreatNonprofits.

GuideStar reports having over 10 million viewers and gathers, organizes, and distributes information on 2.7 million U.S. nonprofits. GuideStar is a central source of information on U.S. nonprofits and is the world's largest source of information about nonprofit organizations. GuideStar also serves to verify that recipient organizations are established and that donated funds go where the donor intended, for individuals looking to give in the wake of disasters. GuideStar utilizes four seals based on the information a nonprofit provides in its profile: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Following an outpouring of affirming reviews by donors, alumni, and supporters, JPB received a Top-Rated Nonprofit Award from GreatNonprofits. With more than 1.6 million charities represented, GreatNonprofits allows people to share their personal experiences with individual nonprofits on its website. GreatNonprofits is a non-profit organization recognized as "the leading developer of tools that allow people to find, review, and share information about great – and perhaps not yet great – nonprofits.” Donors, volunteers, and clients share their personal experiences with, and reviews of, charitable organizations, essentially providing crowdsourced information about the reputability of organizations. Both GuideStar and GreatNonprofits showcase JPB’s causes, its mission, its results, its target demographics, the geographic areas served, as well as all of the various programs offered.
