IN BRIEF: Welcoming New Middle East Intern
JPB welcomes its newest Program Assistant in the Middle East, alumna Duna Milhem. Duna first joined JPB as a student in 2017. She believed then, as she does now, that it is vital for the communities of the Holy Lands to work together in order to promote peace. Duna remained a participant with JPB until 2019, and then transitioned to be part of our organization, working as a Residential Assistant in the summer of 2020, the same year she graduated from high school.
During high school, she participated in numerous local and international Model United Nations Conferences, frequently receiving awards such as "best delegate" and "outstanding delegate." Duna has participated in storytelling projects in the Anne Frank Museum in the Netherlands, as well as participated in the Pathways program in 2018 and 2019, in which Arabs and Jews come together for ice breaking activities promoting peace building. She has also successfully completed The Carter Center Conflict Resolution Course in early 2020.
