JERUSALEM CO-DIRECTORS' REPORT
2020 was a very challenging year for all of us, but JPB managed to successfully run multiple six-session programs in 20+ schools across Israel and Jerusalem as well as during a week-long, conference for Israeli students studying national policy and diplomacy. Our participants came from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. In total, we worked with over 2,000+ participants!
Sessions were initially run via Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions. But after the vaccine, we were to go back into the schools and run day-long workshop sessions. Of course, while following all COVID-19 health & safety regulations.
Despite all the challenges, 2020 was a very special year for us and our students. We managed to overcome the obstacles that we faced and keep our workshops running and in-school programs thriving. The feedback that we received from principals, teachers, and students was deeply gratifying and affirming. Following the conclusion of the programs, our educators continued to stay in touch with the students and inspire them to apply to JPB's summer programs.
