FOUR SUMMER INSTITUTES HELD IN HOLY LANDS: In-person programs a huge success!
Despite all odds, in August, JPB's Israeli affiliate, JPB Leadership Development (JPBLD) successfully operated four leadership and peacebuilding programs for youth and adults near Tel Aviv and in East Jerusalem. The three summer youth institutes engaged teens between ages 14-18, while our EXCEL Institute for adults focused on training Israeli teachers working in local high schools. ONLINE PROGRAM BRIDGES GAP: Partnership connects US and Mideast youth
Coinciding with the launch of our summer institutes for youth and adults in the Holy Lands last August, JPB led an online Foundations Institute with our longtime partners Kids4Peace Boston (K4PB). JPB was recently awarded a grant of $20,000 from the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont to support our summer and fall programs. The funds are being used to promote healing among youth and educators following the fighting and violence in May. We are grateful for their generous support!

IN BRIEF: Second Day Intern Joins the Team
JPB welcomes its newest team member, Aline Masengesho, as a Program Assistant (PA) this month! Aline joins us through our key partnership with Second Day - an organization which helps recruit and place talented young professionals with organizations like JPB.
