NEW INTERN JOINS THE TEAM: Partnership with Second Day continues
JPB’s partnership with Second Day continues this fall with the hire of a new Program Assistant intern, Carolyn Diaz. During her time at JPB, Carolyn will focus on communications and administrative work such as newsletters, media platforms and database management. ALUMNI EVENTS COMING UP! Dinners and reunions set for the fall
Part of JPB's approach to keeping youth engaged after school-year and summer programs are alumni reunions, events, and trainings. Each inspires community, commitment, and continuing education. SUMMER INSTITUTE RECAP: Six programs operated successfully
In July and August, we conducted a total of six summer institutes for 100+ youth and adults across three continents. Our biggest summer ever! Two programs were offered for teachers in Cambridge, UK and Jerusalem, while four were held for teenagers in Houston and New Haven in the USA. IN BRIEF: Participant poems and speeches
In each summer program, youth participants are tasked with completing a final, capstone project. Whether it's a group or individual format, the projects challenge the teens to move from learning to action as leaders and peacebuilders.
