NEW ROLES FOR DEACON JACK AND SARAH BENAZERA: JPB staffers take on new responsibilities
On January 1st, two veteran JPB educators – Deacon Jack Karn and Sarah Benazera – began new responsibilities. Sarah, who is based near Tel Aviv, will pivot from youth education to primarily on training JPB staff members and leading the first level of the EXCEL teacher-training program in Jerusalem. OPPORTUNITIES IN SWITZERLAND: JPBLD Director travels to Guggisberg
This January, JPBLD’s Jerusalem-area Director Zak Adileh travelled to Guggisberg, Switzerland (near the Swiss capital of Bern) to take part in a two-week, international youth leaders exchange. Jointly organized by the Swiss NGO Verein Naturkultur and the Bernese Foundation Stiftung Urgestein, the conference brought together leading Israeli, Palestinian, and Swiss youth leaders in order to foster intercultural dialogue, forge new personal and professional connections, and meet

DIOCESE OF TEXAS GRANT: A $30,000 gift for women empowerment
In December, JPB received a generous leadership $30,000 grant from the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. These much appreciated funds will fuel Palestinian women’s civic and economic empowerment at a pivotal time in the Holy Lands. “Women in their twenties are the most under-resourced and under-served segment of the Palestinian population. HOUSTON INTERFAITH CONCERT: Join us on Feb. 15 to see Polyphony live
JPB Board Member, Rabbi Steve Gross enthusiastically invites all JPB friends and supporters to join Fr. Nicholas on February 15th at a concert of the famed interfaith orchestra Polyphony. The Israeli Jewish and Palestinian Arab musicians will perform at Rabbi Steve’s Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism beginning with a reception at 6:30 pm followed by the performance at 7:30 pm.
