IN BRIEF: Jiries Clerks at Supreme Court
Longtime JPB Alum and former Staffer, Jiries Elias, was recently named as a Clerk with the Israeli Supreme Court. He will be part of Justices Ofer Grosskopf and Yael Willner’s chambers' staff. This is the most prestigious legal internship in the country, granted to only 30 students every year (among tens of thousands of law students who apply). YALE STUDENT JOINS THE TEAM: Intern to help with key research
Emily Brown is a current rising Junior at Yale University majoring in political science. This summer, she has accepted an internship with JPB to help rebuild and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures for our youth, educator, and women's programs. Her key skills and expertise will be instrumental this summer as she visits our programs in Texas to support data collection and operations. BUILDING YOUTH BRIDGES: Houston experiences comeback year
In April and May, JPB’s school-year programs in Houston ended an impressive season of successful, in-person activities. The Interfaith Youth Houston program wrapped up a six-part series of service-projects, faith community visits, and dialogue events with a Ramadan Iftar at ILM Academy and the El-Farouq Mosque. Over 45 teens from Jewish and Christian faith communities joined their Muslim peers at ILM to learn about Islam, Ramadan, and share a festive meal. The Building Bridge

PILGRIMAGES CONTINUE ANEW: Epic journeys to the Holy Lands
Have ever you had a yearning to visit the places you read about in Scripture? With international travel and tourism now in full swing, JPB is excited to be leading pilgrimages to the Holy Lands and more! In April, Fr. Nicholas led a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands for pilgrims with the Order of St. John. The trip included visits to holy places across the region, including in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, and Hebron. SUMMER INSTITUTES READY TO GO: Programs return to US, UK, & Jerusalem
This July and August, JPB’s flagship Summer Peacebuilding Institutes for American, Israeli Jewish, and Palestinian Arab youth and adults return after a two year hiatus because of the pandemic. Four impressive programs will be offered in Connecticut and Texas for 9th-12th graders and two for high school teachers in England and Jerusalem.
